Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race: Day 4 update

Hobart, 29 December 2018

Slowly but surely, Constitution Dock is filling up with Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race competitors and they are all displaying their race battle flags. The wind was strong throughout the afternoon, although has begun to abate down the Derwent River this evening. Ten yachts are currently tracking through Storm Bay in an epic battle among cruisers and race yachts. Here's the latest from the race:

The International Jury found that the protest by the Race Committee against Wild Oats XI was invalid and therefore will retain her line honours crown.

Thirty five yachts have crossed the finish line at Constitution Dock, with 45 yachts still racing. The latest was Kialoa II, which is the oldest yacht in the 2018 fleet. Stay up to date with arrivals with our race tracker here.

Alive remains at the top of the overall leader board. There are only a handful of yachts that have the ability to beat her for the Tattersall Cup so make sure you stay glued to the race tracker!

In PHS, Wax Lyrical have climbed their way to first place in the division, though they are closely followed by Reve and Pekljus.

The overall winner of the 2018 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race will be presented with the George Adams Tattersall Cup at a ceremony in the Hobart Race Village at 11am tomorrow. Make sure that you come down to celebrate the overall winner that will be announced tomorrow!
