IRC Rating Authority new protocol for flotation measurement.

The IRC Rating Authority has developed a new protocol for flotation measurement for boats over 25 toms eliminating the necessity for actually lifting the boat to determine displacement.

This protocol will be put to use for the first time in the days prior to the MYRC. It is the intent of the IMA to ultimately measure all Maxis using this protocol to insure that the displacement value for every boat is determined by the same standard.

Boat owners and their representatives are encouraged to review the protocol and be familiar with its contents.
