IMA Championship Provisional Results

Dear Members,

at the Annual General Meeting, some racing events are selected by the members to be considered part of the Association Championship Calendar, where the Association will be formally present supporting the local Organizing Authorities.

In these events the O.A. assure that the IMA requests for separate start, scoring, rating controls, etc, will be applied. If the assurance is not given, the event is  cancelled from the IMA Championship. Some of the above events are selected to assign the annual IMA Trophies.

For 2009 the list of the trophies and the modality of assignment are indicated in the IMA website, reported in the IMA yearbook and circulated to all members.

The secretariat, together with the ATO, revised the present situation of the IMA Championship at the end of the events preceding the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup.

In the program of the Championship there was the provision that one of the events may be discarded, assuming therefore that the various maxi divisions shall participate at a minimum of four events, and that the mini maxi division shall participate at a minimum of five events.

Unfortunately only the mini maxi racing group had this participation, while the other division/groups did not satisfy this requirement of the IMA Championship.

Bellamente is presently leading by one point the mini maxi racing  group.
